Personal Privacy Notice – Zillow Mexico

Zillow Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. (hereinafter “Zillow” or “we”), with address at Avenida Insurgentes Centro, No. 64, Oficina B – 601, Colonia Juárez, Alcaldía Cuauhtémoc, Código Postal 06600, Ciudad de México, Mexico, in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, its Regulations, the Privacy Notice Guidelines and other applicable regulations (the “Law”), we make this privacy notice available to you so that you know the characteristics of the use that will be given to your personal data.

Personal data processed

Zillow may process the following personal data of candidates who are part of the recruitment and selection processes:

Identification data. Full name, age, sex, date of birth, place of birth, nationality, Federal Taxpayers Registry (R.F.C.), Unique Key of Population Registry (C.U.R.P.), official identification, marital status, image, signature and if applicable, immigration status.

Contact information. Complete address, e-mail, mobile and/or landline telephone number.

Employment data. Work history, curriculum vitae, current position, work permit.

Academic data. Academic history, certificates of studies, professional license and other proof of studies, language skills, schooling.

Personal and work references. Information provided to us by third parties from whom you have provided us with reference information.

Data related to your abilities, skills, aptitudes and personality. This information is the result of tests or exercises conducted during the recruitment and selection process, as well as the interviews carried out.

Economic or patrimonial data. Information resulting from the socioeconomic studies carried out during the last stage of the recruitment and selection process; current salary and desired salary.

We will not collect data considered sensitive by law.

We may ask you to show us documentation related to the personal data you provide us, and to provide us with a simple copy of it. We may also corroborate such information in publicly available sources.

During the process we may also collect personal data from third parties, for the purpose of obtaining personal and employment references of the candidates. These personal data are provided by the candidates and include:

Identification data (full name), contact data (e-mail, telephone number) and, if applicable, employment data (company and position) of third parties designated by the candidate to obtain personal and employment references.

The candidate must ensure that he/she has the prior authorization of any third parties of whom he/she provides us with personal data.

Purposes of processing personal data

The personal data we collect from you, as a candidate, may be used for the following necessary purposes:

● To evaluate your profile and consider you for a recruitment and selection process.

● To contact you and, if necessary, to keep in touch with you.

● To allow you access to our facilities.

● To carry out the investigations, evaluations and in general all the steps that may be necessary during the recruitment and selection process.

● To request personal and work references.

● To compile candidate files.

● To make decisions regarding the recruitment and selection process.

● To conduct interviews.

● If applicable, to establish the job offer.

● To ensure our safety, that of other candidates, personnel working in our offices and third parties who visit us.

● To comply with legal obligations and requirements of competent authorities.

● In the event of a dispute, to defend Zillow’s rights and interests, including before the competent authorities.

● To carry out the transfers indicated below.

We may also process your personal data for the following voluntary purposes, which you may object to at any time by following the procedure set forth below:

● In the event that you are not selected to fill the job vacancy for which you applied, we may retain your personal data for up to one year in order to consider you for future recruitment and selection processes at Zillow.

● In the event that you are not selected to fill the job vacancy for which you applied, we may conduct resume exchanges with other companies within the same Zillow corporate group.

Date transfers

Your personal data may be transferred to the following third parties, for the purposes set below:

Your Rights

You have the right to know what personal data we have about you, for what purpose and how we use them, as well as the privacy notice that governs its processing (Access). Likewise, you may request the correction or updating of your personal data (Rectification); that we delete your personal data in situations where this is possible (Cancellation); as well as to oppose the processing of your personal data for voluntary purposes or under certain legitimate circumstances (Opposition) (jointly “ARCO rights“). Likewise, you may limit the use and disclosure of your data or revoke the consent you have given for its processing, when this is possible and applicable. Please note that the revocation of your consent could mean the end of the recruitment and selection process. 

To exercise any of your rights, please send your request to our Data Protection Officer at: zgprivacy@zillowgroup.com.

Your request must contain at least the following information: i) your full name, address and email address so that we can communicate the response to the request; ii) the document that proves your identity (copy of official identification) and, if applicable, personality of your representative (with a copy of the corresponding official identification); iii) a clear and precise description of the personal data with respect to which you are seeking to exercise any of the rights and the right you are exercising; iv) any document or information that facilitates the location of your personal data; v) in the event of requesting a rectification of personal data, you must also indicate the modifications to be made and provide the documentation supporting your request.

Once we receive your application, we will have 5 business days to review it for compliance with all requirements. If your application does not meet any of the above requirements, we will ask you to complete it within 10 business days. If you do not provide the missing information or documentation within the deadline, your request will be deemed not to have been submitted.

We will respond to your request within 20 business days after we receive it in full. If the request is granted, we will respond within 15 business days.

Access to your personal data will be deemed to have been granted when they are made available to you, regardless of the medium or format, or when simple copies of your personal data are provided to you, at Zillow’s option.

Changes to the Privacy Notice

We reserve the right to make changes or updates to this privacy notice at any time. If there are substantial modifications, we will send you the updated version of the privacy notice to the email address you have provided to us.

Consent

By providing us with your personal data and/or following the recruitment and selection process with us, you expressly consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with this privacy notice.
